i love what iceland looks like. i've only been there twice, for a total of a few hours, in the airport; i flew through reykjavik on the way to amsterdam, and 
during the whole week in amsterdam i looked forward to going back to the reykjavik airport. when we landed in iceland it looked like we were landing on the moon, or on venus, or in middle earth. this month's anthropologie catalog was shot there, which made yours truly want to (what else?) buy something. my little winter coat is from an icelandic company called 66north:
