that is exactly what mimi said when she invited me: do you want to come to dinner with a bunch of old people? what she means is, do i want to join her for the lovely new year's eve dinner in the dining room at the atrium (the very elegant 'retirement community' where she lives)and eat duck? the answer is yes! i love mimi, the atrium, and duck.
here i am with my new sweater dress and bracelet, and here is mimi enjoying a glass of wine.

here is a classic ladies' bowling outfit with a bowling ball, and here i am with my nerdy bowling outfit and rimmy's ball, which is more my speed. why does she look hotter than me?
happy birthday to my aunt deborah. she is a shining beacon of fabulousness!
here are a few things aunt d. taught me:
1. don't wear your clothes if you've spilled food on them (age 5 or so)
2. make sure you look awesome even in your lounge clothes
3. your furniture, as well as your clothes, should be fabulous
4. it's ok to be a yankees fan if you live in new york!
xoxo
this blog entry is for those of you who were bored to tears over the weekend without my blog (ahem, er...rayball.) it is a tribute to my purple sweater dress which i LOVE. a sweater dress is a very cozy thing to wear in the winter! this one is from mencucci in roma which i also LOVE. it has a very cute collar and sleeves, though it was difficult to take a good picture, so you may not be able to
see them in their glorious detail. the only problem with this dress is that you have to make sure and suck in your stomach. it's great for wearing to buffets and such. if i were to eat, for example, a bagel, you would see a bagel shape sticking out of the stomach area...
yay! mom sent her pajamas and slippers, with the caveat that she is getting new ones from garnet hill. i think the ones in the photo are cute. i have tried to steal the slippers numerous times but without success. you can see her little feet standing on the stool taking the photo. this is one of the funny things my blog makes people do!
i forgot to charge my camera so i can't take a picture of my outfit! here is rimmy who wears his pajamas every day anyway. he is a cuddly little guy.
my friend jay is the first to respond to my CFP (call for pajamas.) here is the picture! i was delighted to see that jay's pajamas are appropriately scholarly. classic stripes! i've added a picture of my own pajamas for reference. in this c
ontext they seem rat
her trivial, perhaps due to the hello kitty faces on the pants. hmmm...might this explain my lack of a certain prestigious prize? ;)
yesterday morning we set up the hydra, which is why i couldn't post to my blog! i wore a michael stars pink shirt and
my harvard sweatpants. these are not just any sweatpants! they are new, gray, cute, and say 'harvard' down the leg.
one of the students in our class commented that i looked tired. then he said "maybe it's just that i haven't seen you in your sweats before." humph! do you know what this means, guys? this means i am OLD. no more sweats for me! i hope the students like my santa hat.

my friends came over today for a christmas party! i wore my gray wool skirt from japan and a free people t-shirt and boots and even took a decent picture of the outfit. in the end, it didn't matter, because i got to hold sam and that was how i looked the best.

yesterday ryan and dad worked two doors down from me at the university health services. i'm happy to know that if i need an x-ray at uhs it will be correctly shielded. i thought both guys looked nice in their work clothes! i hardly recognized them, hehe. dad also wore his harvard hat to show some school spirit.

just in time, here are my new boots. it's supposed to snow on monday. the drawstring ones are merrells and the other ones are juicy. i love them both, but little hedgehog guy seems to prefer the juicy ones!
