the trouble with spring

elena looks ready for spring in her pink dress!

the poll closed and the results are in: 50% of you voted for bringing out the spring clothes when it starts to get warmer. 2
5% voted for spring break, and the remaining 25% went for 'when you get sick of winter clothes.' spring can be both a welcome and a troublesome time. it's lovely to see the little crocuses come up and the days start to grow longer. however, here in new england, the reality is that spring is still just as cold as winter, adorable as those tulips and daffodils might be.

hence, our conundrum: what does one wear in new england in spring?

here are some ideas:
brightly colored shirts and jackets
dresses, but with a big sweater over them
cheerful flowered long underwear (beneath your winter clothes)

tell me your ideas, and don't forget to take the new poll!

I LOVE today's post! OK, this is Elena's mother but very cute. Thanks for her little dress! For the record, I think that Marin should go with brown hair.

Oh dear! I was briefly considering brown, but have now veered over toward dark blond with high and lowlights!

no matter what, you will look like a little dodo.

Miss Elena opted for a cheerful pink with grey trim but wisely chose it in a cozy corduroy to keep herself toasty.
Being chilly no matter how cute one looks is no fun and requires hot baths as an antidote which are not good for the environment if taken too often.

Marin could go green as Saint Patricks day is just around the corner but she looks great as a blond.
Do they have more fun? Yes, they do!
