today i climbed the aventine hill. this is something i did once and always dreamed of doing again. on the aventine is the tower of a church that i always looked at when i lived in rome before, and today i went there. it was san anselmo.
it's a long walk up the aventine and i guess not too many people did it because there was no one else in beautiful santa sabina.
i lit candles for ann and mimi. rome is like a place i lived in and never saw. i see it now, and it's amazing.what was wrong with me??
anyway...grateful for the second chance.

Me gusta leer las estadisticas. Eres graciosa, niña! Viste Roma antes pero bajo malas circunstancias. Hiciste amigos y encontraste aquel pueblito medieval tan precioso tambien. Tal vez tu memoria te traiciona un poco porque te gustaba correr en el parque y aprendiste el italiano. Muchas cosas buenas excepto "sabes quien"--el tio raro. TQ
es verdad mamá que me divertí mucho la primera vez corriendo y hablando italiano y andando con sarah y jasper! pero no tenía tanta curiosidad, y tenía miedo de muchas cosas...
Ah Roma. That was a bellissima blog about the Aventine. Has your Italian come back easily? What yummy things are you eating? We all want to know if you brought the right clothes with all our advise etc...
Mr Madoff went to jail today. Everyone seems very happy about it. Wish I were there even though it is a beautiful day in NYC.
